Ages are only guidelines, not rules. Studio advancement is based on readiness and mastery, not birthdays. Some children may move forward earlier, others may take more time, and that’s exactly how it should be.

In the Spark Studio, learners begin their Hero’s Journey by discovering the joy of meaningful work.
Even at the youngest ages, children are capable of focus, independence, and responsibility when given the right environment. Inspired by Montessori principles, Spark is designed as a carefully prepared space where learners choose purposeful activities, practice independence, and develop the habits needed for deeper learning. Work may look like play — building, creating, imagining — but it is intentionally designed to build real skills. Spark learners develop confidence, self-control, and accountability as they prepare for the increased independence and academic challenge of Discovery Studio.

Learn to care for their environment

Discovery Studio is where learners move from readiness to mastery.
In a learner-driven environment, children take ownership of their work, set goals, track progress, and learn to manage their time and energy. Academic skills are developed deliberately and systematically — not in isolation, but in service of meaningful projects, deep questions, and real responsibility.

Commit to a Next Great Adventure
Launchpad is where learners do work that matters, alongside people they respect — and discover what they’re capable of becoming.
Learners apply years of remembering, thinking, and doing to real choices about work, learning, and contribution. Rather than following a prescribed path, learners design and pursue challenges aligned with their interests, strengths, and long-term goals — whether that leads to higher education, entrepreneurship, apprenticeships, or other meaningful pursuits.
Read deep literature; communicate clearly and powerfully; and tackle real world computational challenges.
Wrestle with timeless moral dilemmas through Socratic discussions in Civilization and through studio governance- both in the Launchpad and lower studios
Dive deeply into college level biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, finance and psychology through immersive quests and public exhibitions.
